Chemical Peel in Baltimore, Maryland
The Perfect Derma Peel is a medium depth chemical peel which removes damaged and old outer layers of skin to make skin smoother, reduce scarring and provide glowing skin. Ranging from mild to strong, there are three types of chemical peels: alphahydroxy acid (AHA), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol. The strength of each peel is tailored to the patient. The Perfect Derma Peel is a TCA medium depth peel which causes peeling between days 3-6.
Chemical Peel Procedure
During the Perfect Derma Peel, the skin is cleansed and the solution is applied, which may cause a brief stinging sensation.
Chemical peels are performed in less than 30 minutes in our med spa. Pain is very mild with some tingling that may occur during application.
Side Effects of Chemical Peels
A phenol or TCA peel can result in tingling, reddened, flakey skin which may last for 7 days.
Post Care & What to Expect
After the peel is applied, do not wear make up for at least 7 days. No sweating or touching your face which may result in an infection. It is important to not pick or pull the peeling skin, although it is okay to use small scissors to trim the skin. Any questions? Call us at 443 420 8700.
